Terms of Service

About the service and who provides it

My Baby Steps is provided by Josh Thompson, trading as My Baby Steps, based in the United Kingdom.

Assignment and business transfer

We may transfer, assign, or subcontract our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, company, or legal entity, including as part of a restructuring, incorporation, or asset transfer. We will tell you about any transfer in writing or through a site announcement, and it will never reduce your statutory consumer rights.

What this service is, and what it is not

My Baby Steps gives you roadmap and milestone estimates based on publicly available GOV.UK and NHS guidance.

This service does not give you legal, tax, or financial advice.

HMRC, DWP, and your local council are the only bodies with final say over your claims, applications, and deadlines. Always check your own entitlement with the official government service.

Subscription tiers, billing, and cancellation

We offer four tiers. Free costs £0. Member costs £3 a month or £30 a year. Premium costs £5 a month or £50 a year. An extra child beyond your plan's allowance costs £1 a month or £10 a year.

Stripe handles all billing. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it before the renewal date.

You can cancel your paid subscription at any time from your billing page, through the Stripe customer portal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle.

As a UK consumer, you have a statutory 14 day right to cancel a new digital subscription under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Limitation of liability

We provide My Baby Steps as an informational planning tool. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. This includes a missed government deadline, a missed entitlement, or lost income.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. If you are on the Free tier, our total liability is limited to £30.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
